Your review of the latest Rankin is right on the money, Roy. This book is certainly a pale addition to the otherwise robust Rebus stable. One can only hope Rankin's next offering is more up to his usual Rebus standard. But in the absence of anything better for now, some Rebus is better than none, and certainly whets my appetite for the next episode in the saga.
